Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Guwahati has officially started the GATE 2026 Admission Online Form registration process from 28th August 2025. The Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) 2026 will be conducted on 7th, 8th, 14th, and 15th February 2026 for admission to M.Tech, M.E., Ph.D. programs and recruitment in various Public Sector Undertakings (PSUs). All eligible candidates can apply online through the official website gate2026.iitg.ac.in and GOAPS portal goaps.iitg.ac.in before the deadline.

The application fee for GATE 2026 varies based on category and registration period. Candidates must pay the fee through online mode only.

Currently Pursuing Final Year Students:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering/Technology (4 years after 10+2 or 3 years after B.Sc./Diploma)
- Bachelor’s degree in Architecture (5 years course)
- Bachelor’s degree in Science (Post Diploma)
- Master’s degree in any branch of Science/Mathematics/Statistics/Computer Applications
Completed Degree Holders:

How to Apply for GATE 2026 Online Form
Follow these simple steps to complete your GATE 2026 registration:
Step 1: Registration on GOAPS Portal
- Visit the official website gate2026.iitg.ac.in
- Click on “APPLICATION PORTAL” to go directly to goaps.iitg.ac.in/login
- Click on “Register Here“
- Enter required details and verify via OTP
- Note down your Enrollment ID
Step 2: Fill Application Form
- Login using Enrollment ID and Password
- Fill personal, academic, communication details, select GATE paper and exam centers
Step 3: Upload Documents
- Recent passport-size photograph (3-40 KB, JPG/JPEG)
- Signature (1-30 KB, JPG/JPEG)
- Category/PwD certificate if applicable
Step 4: Fee Payment
- Pay the application fee according to your category
