Detailed Examination Notice
1. Candidate Eligibility Assurance
Candidates must ensure they meet all eligibility criteria as outlined by the Ministry of Statistics and Programme Implementation. Admission at all stages is provisional until eligibility is confirmed. Verification occurs post-qualification for the Interview/Personality Test.
2. Application Procedure
Candidates need to apply online via the UPSC website. First-time applicants must register using the One-Time Registration (OTR) platform. Registered users can proceed directly to application submission.
Modifications in OTR Profile
- Editable entries until final submission include changes in name, gender, minority status, and Class 10th Board Examination Roll No.
- Non-editable entries include name, date of birth, parents’ names, mobile number, and email ID.
3. Special Instructions
- Candidates must carry a valid photo ID during the examination.
- Late entries will not be permitted under any circumstances.
- A correction window will be available for one week after the application deadline.
4. Examination Scheme
The examination consists of:
- Part I : Written Examination (Maximum 1000 marks)
- Part II : Viva Voce (Maximum 200 marks)

5. Scribe Facility
Eligible Persons with Benchmark Disabilities may avail scribe facilities. Candidates can either bring their own scribe or request one from the Commission.
6. Admit Card
E-Admission Certificates will be available on the UPSC website. Candidates must download and verify their admit cards. In case of discrepancies, notify the Commission immediately.
7. Correspondence with UPSC
Candidates must provide complete communication details including name, year of examination, registration ID, roll number, full name, postal address, and active email ID.
8. Reservation for Persons with Benchmark Disabilities
Reservation is subject to meeting physical and medical standards. Functional classifications and physical requirements are specified for each service.
